SOLO IN VEGAS

One of my favorite places to visit is Las Vegas. I was doing a quick trip and said to myself, 'What better time to start telling people about my adventures?' I love Las Vegas! I go about 4 times a year and am an M Life loyalty member. For this trip, I had 36 hours to do some things I never miss and try some new places.

I arrived late so I went straight to the hotel. I had never stayed at Park MGM before; not even before it was re-branded from Monte Carlo. So I was excited to see all the upscale changes that they made. When checking in, they had a very convenient kiosk with no lines. All I needed was my ID and the QSR code from my mobile check-in.

I was on Dallas time and all I could think about was laying down in my inviting bed to get an early start. But first, I had to go to my favorite spot that's always the first stop on our Vegas trips.

Wolfgang Puck's Cucina is located at Crystal's. Coming from Park MGM is so easy. There's no need for a cab. Just walk through Aria's casino and lobby, which is next door, and you're there! My go to favorites are red sangria, a Caesar (their dressing is amazing!) and an arugula-prosciutto pizza. I sat at the bar and had some fun people watching.

The next morning, I woke up early and got out to explore before most people were out and about. I love the architecture of Vegas. It's so modern and vibrant.

After my walk around town, watching the city wake up on Friday morning, I was off for some well deserved 'me time' at Aria's Spa. Park MGM's spa wasn't open yet plus I have certain people I like to see at Aria's Spa. I opted for an 80 minute massage and time to lounge around the infinity pool. They also offer a eucalyptus steam room, a personal favorite, a salt room, therapeutic pools and full service salon.

Afterwards, I headed back to Park MGM and went for a bite at their new French restaurant, Primrose.

Really, I couldn't wait to venture out and see all the activity around town. I went to Bellagio to see the fountains, explored the new entertainment area by the T-Mobile Arena, The Park, and played one of my favorite slot machines, Britney Spears. Yes, I'm a fan and have been since day one!

All this exploring gave me quiet the appetite. I couldn't wait to experience Park MGM's newest steakhouse, Bavette. I sat at the bar and had a wonderful bartender that assisted me with the best options. He told me that I had to try an Old Fashioned as Bavette was known for them. I opted for some east coast oysters as an appetizer. They had a delicious salty bite. My salad was huge even though I ordered a half portion. When the steak came, I was impressed! It was so tender and flavorful, plus came with a roasted tomato and watercress greens. I decided to try some garlic mash potatoes and am so happy I did. They were the right amount of creaminess with a garlic flavor; perfect with my steak. The Old Fashion was the perfect cocktail for the evening.

After dinner I played a little more. I'm a slot gal in the casinos. I won some and lost some; that's Vegas! While packing up for my early flight the next morning, I enjoyed the views out my window, facing the strip. The sunrise was pretty awesome as well.

Las Vegas can be so fun if you know how to play it right. My 36 hours were complete bliss! I'm hardly ever ready to go home when I visit Vegas. I always recommend staying at an MGM property and signing up for their M Life Rewards loyalty program. It's one of the best if you visit Vegas more than once a year.

Thank you Park MGM for a great stay, Aria Spa for always making me feel relaxed and ready to take on the day, Bavette for a great meal and Sommer for her amazing photography, capturing all the fun Las Vegas can bring.
